ABOUT BRANTLEY TUCKER


Brantley Tucker is a Food Distribution Specialist for Child Nutrition Programs at the Alabama State Department of Education. He is experienced with NSLP, USDA Foods, DOD Fresh, TEFAP, CSFP, and the Alabama Statewide Procurement Bid. His background before Food Distribution was in procurement, policy and warehousing. He has been with the state since 2011 and first came to the Department of Education in 2014. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration and U.S. History from Troy University in 2008 and received his Master’s Degree in Legal Administration from Auburn Montgomery in 2009. He spends his personal time pursuing to live a good life with his wife and daughter.

Sarah McIntire has worked for the Houston Food Bank since 2016 and serves as the Director of Acquisition and Procurement. In her role, she oversees the acquisition of TEFAP product, transportation services, PPO produce donations, HFB program and office supplies, and contract management. She also oversees the Resourcing team, who are tasked with sourcing a steady flow of nutritious food and non-food donations from growers, brokers, retailers, and within the product industry. As the former Government Relations Officer, Sarah worked as the liaison with the local, state and federal government and Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster in the response and recovery phases of Hurricane Harvey. Sarah has her Master’s degree in Public Administration from Kansas State University.

ABOUT ELIZA JANE CRUSE


Eliza-Jane has been with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture since 2013 as an Agriculture Inspector II in the USDA Foods Program. She is based in Central Kentucky and helps with the Training, Development and Continued Education for New Food Service Directors as well as their Staff. In 2015 Eliza-Jane began working with Garrick Howell in the planning and execution of their yearly Kentucky Department of Agriculture Food Service Director Conference. She assists with the overseeing of Education Classes, Speakers, Receptions and helping to manage the budget for the entire event. Eliza-Jane is a Graduate from Western Kentucky University and plans on continuing her education with a Master’s Degree in Social Responsibility and Sustainable Communities. When she isn’t working Eliza-Jane spends time with her daughter, Ada Scout and family.

ABOUT ROXANN GREENLEE


Roxann has worked for the WY. Department of Education since 2004 and been the School Food Distribution Program Manager since 2007.  She is a one man band and does both the processing and USDA Foods on her own.  She also manages the USDA FFVP Grant and assists with NSLP and SFSP reviews.  Roxann has worked on the ACDA conference planning committee in the past and was the Mountain Plains State Agency Representative.  In her spare time, Roxann spends most of her free time chauffeuring her two teenagers to their extra-curricular activities.

ABOUT DEBORAH CAMERON

Deborah Cameron has worked at the state of Colorado in the Human Services Department for five years as the NSLP Coordinator. Deborah started her career in child nutrition working for Aurora Public Schools as a kitchen manager. During that time she received her bachelor's degree in Applied Social Sciences at Colorado State University and completed her SNS credential. In her current role, Deborah administers USDA Foods for Child Nutrition Programs for the state of Colorado. Deborah is the secretary for the local Little League and is a Communication Committee member for the American Distribution Commodity Association. Her hobbies include quilting, gardening, and spending a lot of time in the great outdoors.

ABOUT MIKE BIRKMEYER

Mike started at MSDE as the Processing Specialist in 2005 and was promoted to his current position in 2007. Before joining Maryland he was Purchasing Manager for Maines Paper and Foodservice. Mike has more than twenty year’s foodservice experience, which includes a wholesale produce buyer for Marriott Distribution Services and a local produce company, Director of Operations for foodservice at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and various management positions for Hyatt Regency hotels. Mike has a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Widener University. He is active in SNA and is the Exhibits co-chair for the MdSNA. Mike is a Past President of ACDA, the former co-chair of the Processing Committee, and has held other ACDA Board positions. In his spare time Mike enjoys traveling with his family and spending time at the beach.

ABOUT CAROLE ERB

Carole Erb is the Director, Education Sales of JTM Food Group.  Living just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carole started her K12 career with JTM in 2004 and has loved every second of it!  Believing strongly in the mission and vision of ACDA, Carole enjoys learning from all Stakeholders in an effort to better understand challenges and opportunities for improvement.  In addition to ACDA membership, Carole is a lifelong Toastmaster and loves to read and take long walks on the beach.

ALLIED AND AGRICULTURAL REPRESENTATIVE

ABOUT SUSAN RENKE

Susan Renke is the Promotion Director for the Pacific Northwest Canned Pear Service representing the growers and processors of U.S. canned Bartlett pears grown in Oregon and Washington. Her primary focus for the pear industry is working with K-12 Schools and USDA Foods programs supporting American agriculture.

Susan is a foodservice industry marketing veteran who has built her career working with a variety of food and agriculture organizations, including commodity boards, branded companies, agencies, and trade associations. Susan’s specialty is foodservice business development and marketing programs aimed at increasing sales and brand equity. She has strong relationships with distributors and foodservice operators plus an in-depth knowledge of foodservice distribution and purchasing systems, menu development, and culinary trends.

Susan has worked with organizations such as Driscoll’s, the Pear Bureau Northwest (USA Pears), and Sunkist Growers, while running her foodservice consulting business, Food Marketing Resources. She has also managed foodservice programs in positions with the California Strawberry Commission, Sun World International, the Produce Marketing Association, Ketchum Public Relations, and the Culinary Institute of America. In her spare time, Susan leads culinary tours to international and domestic destinations with her company, Global Palate Adventures.

HOUSEHOLD PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE

ABOUT CARA GABRIS

Cara Gabris is the Associate Director of Logistics at the Houston Food Bank. She is leading specialized delivery services such as home deliveries and food distributions for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Cara was formerly the Nutrition and Adult Programs Senior Manager. She managed the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) as well as the SNAP-Ed Nutrition Education Program.

Since the onset of the pandemic, the Houston Food Bank began providing a home delivery service for the community’s most vulnerable population. Cara has provided leadership, support, and coordination to distribute over 1.4 million home delivered meals since the inception of this new delivery model.  

Cara holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Michigan State University, a Master of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Dietetics from Lamar University, and an MBA from the University of Texas. Cara is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian.

ABOUT CARYN LONG EARL

Caryn Long Earl was appointed Director of the Bureau of Food Assistance in May 2017. In this position, she oversees the administration of numerous federal and state food assistance programs, including The Emergency Food Assistance Program, the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, distribution of USDA Foods to schools and other child feeding sites, the Pennsylvania State Food Purchase Program, and the Pennsylvania Agricultural Surplus System. These programs are helping to meet the nutritional needs of more than 1.7 million Pennsylvanians who are at-risk of hunger. Prior to this appointment, she served for two years as Executive Assistant to Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding.

Prior to joining the Department of Agriculture, Long Earl spent more than a decade working on policy issues related to food safety and food security. This includes previous public service with USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service and as a Congressional Agriculture Fellow in the office of a member of U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee. Upon leaving federal service, she served for four years as a Senior Policy Advisor at Feeding America, where she focused on appropriations and federal commodity issues, and for three years as Executive Director of Feeding Pennsylvania, the state association of Feeding America food banks.

ABOUT KEVIN PEACH

Kevin Peach Food  Assistance Branch Manager for the KY Department of Agriculture. I have been with the department for about 19 years and have been working with the CSFP and TEFAP program for about 12 years.  I have been on the board for the National CSFP Association of 6 years as the state representative. I current hold the Household representative position with ACDA for the past two years.
