ACDA is a non-profit, professional trade association, devoted to improving the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Commodity Food Distribution Program. This federal program, which began in 1935, provides food to a wide range of operations and institutions, such as school lunch programs, charitable institutions, residential child care institutions, child and adult day care centers, summer camps, and summer food service programs for children, to name a few. ACDA is comprised of agricultural producers, food processors, federal and state agencies, allied associates and school districts, all working together to strengthen and maintain the integrity of the USDA Foods supply chain.
