Develops annual budget; submits balanced budget proposal to Board of Directors; contracts with outside source to perform a financial review of Association’s financial records

FOOD SAFETY (Chair: Sandy Fisher, Sandyfisher@psualum.com)
To develop mechanisms for addressing food safety concerns affecting ACDA membership

LEGISLATIVE (Co-Chairs: Barry Sackin, Barry@sackin.net and Bill Ferriera, apricots@apricotproducers.com)
To evaluate, interpret, recommend and respond to federal legislation; to inform membership of legislative issues that may affect the Association; to develop legislative policy/position for consideration by Executive Board; to act on behalf and at direction of Executive Board on legislative matters

CONFERENCE PLANNING (Chair: Matthew Essner, Matthew.Essner@dese.mo.gov)

To promote membership within all eligible categories and to encourage active participation in the Association

NOMINATING (Chair: Matthew Essner, Matthew.essner@dese.mo.gov)
To investigate the availability and qualifications of State/Territory member representative as nominees for elective offices and select qualified nominees for such office

PROCESSING (Co-chairs: Linda Hubeny, Linda.hubeny@ct.gov and Jack Crawford, Jack.crawford@pilgrims.com)
To develop and update annually a uniform Processing Agreement, to make recommendations to Board of Directors on processing issues and proposed regulations, and to act as liaison between various USDA offices involved with processing and the Association

RESOLUTIONS AND BYLAWS (Chair: Elizabeth Gonzalez, Elizabeth.gonzales@TexasAgriculture.gov)
Receives and considers all proposed amendments to Bylaws and resolutions pertaining to the welfare of the Association

Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act - Provision 242 This provision directs USDA to find a way to centralize nutrition, ingredient and allergen information of all products used in schools.

Fruit & Vegetable (Open)
Education and communication with increased emphasis on fruits and vegetables in all forms in all of the USDA Commodity feeding programs.
