2008 Annual National Conference Presidents Comments
Now that a few days have elapsed since the end of the 2008 Annual National Conference I still have heard only positive comments about the conference.
I am gratified that the conference was a success. There is no way that I can name all of the people whose hard work contributed to that success in this message. I would like to take the opportunity however, to thank the people who ultimately made it a success. I thank all of you who attended the conference sessions and took part in the discussions, both during and between sessions. Without your thoughtful participation there would have been no conference.
During the conference I failed to announce the chairs of the ACDA committees for the coming year. I apologize for that oversight and list them below:

I want to thank all of them for their willingness to serve in these capacities and ask that you, as members, recognize their contributions when you see them or speak with them.
Annemarie will be having the presentations we collected posted on the website here for those of you who were not able to attend all of the sessions you wished or who want to review the contents of these sessions. These presenters all made essential contributions to the conference and I want to see that the information they worked so hard to impart is available to you for as long as possible.
In closing I would like to urge all of you to consider what part you can play in strengthening ACDA and making the work of the organization pertinent to the membership and helpful to those we serve. If you completed the volunteer form that was in your registration package I thank you. If you forgot to do so, it isn’t too late. Contact the Chair of the committee you would like to work with or any Board member to register your willingness to serve.
Again, I thank you for a successful conference.
